Welcome to Riviere Towans waste dump.
Built in breach of Article 41.
It seems there's a new understanding of the limits of RTCCMC's responsibilities. Placing waste compounds near wooden chalets was not only a fire hazard but also appears to have been unnecessary and a misinterpretation of the regulations. It’s a relief to see that the smaller compounds will be decommissioned and that all of them, including the three larger ones, are hopefully to be removed at the end of the season.
The properties on Riviere Towans Chalet Campsite are all freehold. This means waste management is the responsibility of individual property owners, not the management company. We've seen these compounds used to dump all sorts of items, from fridges to building waste and grass cuttings, many of which the waste provider won't remove and then falls to the management company and ultimately all of us to pay to get rid of.
It is good to see the new Directors are beginning to see the error of the previous Directors ways, and are now seeking to right those wrongs.
